I have had one previous homebuyers survey pre the latest RICS version on another property - the new format RICS report is a significant improvement on the old, it is much clearer and easier to read and is action focussed allowing a buyer to do what they actually want the report for : 1) to identify any "Show stopping" issues that will stop the sale and 2) To identify any issues that will require significant costs to repair / put right so that the buyer can be fully aware and re-negotiate the price if appropriate."
